Abstract

The article presents the dependence of the saving process on demographic and socio-economic features, based on an analysis of the system of saving of a father and mother from the date of marriage. The basic source for the article was a questionnaire distributed in Poznań which supplied information on the subject. From this analysis it can be stated that there is a positive correlation between the saving process and education of the married couple. Worthy of note is the relation of size of saving to the age of the couple at marriage. The correlations here are both positive and negative. Also investigated was the relation between savings and number of children in the families of both parties and the size of living quarters in the first year of marriage.
