Abstract

The phenomenon of how the human mind searches for proper and common names, as well as the description of the underlying neurobiological mechanisms, manifested in various types of damage to both hemispheres and as part of primary progressive aphasia, are the concern of this book. It also focuses on the relationship between proper name and common name anomia, and the degree and scope of these two partly independent phenomena. Its conclusions are based on the author’s own research on language disorders in patients with various types of anomia.Książka poświęcona jest problematyce zaburzeń nazywania osób i rzeczy w afazji (u chorych z lezjami lewopółkulowymi na skutek udaru), w uszkodzeniach półkuli prawej oraz afazji pierwotnej postępującej. Jej celem jest charakterystyka różnych typów anomii oraz towarzyszących jej błędów nazywania.
