Próba ustalenia funkcji eksportu

Abstract

The aspects on which the volume and geographical structure of export depend as well as an attempt to establish the proper mathematical function are discussed in the article. It has been stated on the basis of obtained data that the volume of export of a given country to all the other countries is directly proportional to the economic potential (gross national income) of the partners and is reciprocally proportional to the distance between these countries. As the simplest econometric export model the Cobb-Douglas function has been used [...]. The verification of this function by statistical data concerning Polish export shows that the function gives values nearing the real volume of this export.
