Zarys organizacji i działalności Polskiej Straży Granicznej w latach 1928–1939

Abstract

Autor artykułu przedstawia Polską Straż Graniczną II Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej od momentu jej utworzenia w 1928 r. do końca jej istnienia we wrześniu 1939 r. Pierwsza cześć tekstu przedstawia genezę i proces powstawania straży. W dalszej części artykułu została opisana struktura, a także obowiązki i zadania jakie nałożono na tę formację i wiążące się z tym problemy. Dodatkowo w treści pracy, zaprezentowano problematykę współpracy straży z wywiadem wojskowym. W ostatniej części tekstu zamieszczono informacje na temat udziału Straży Granicznej w systemie obronnym państwa i jej uczestnictwo w trakcie w kampanii wrześniowej.The author of the article describes Polish Border Guard from the moment of its creation in 1928 until the end of its existence in September 1939. The first part of the text describes genesis and the process of creation of that formation. Also the article contains description of its structure, responsibilities and tasks imposed on the Border Guard and all the problems arising from those duties. Additionally, it contains information about cooperation between the Border Guard and the Military Intelligence. In the last part of the text, there are some information on participation of the Polish Border Guard in country defence system and about its involvement during the September Campaign.
