Abstract

Książka gromadzi wybrane artykuły i interpretacje mogące pełnić funkcję użytecznego – pierwszego w języku polskim – wprowadzenia dla początkujących i pogłębiającego zarysu dla „starszych i średniozaawansowanych” czytelników pisarza, który stworzył jeden z najbardziej wyrazistych projektów literackich ostatnich dekad. Autorzy dziesięciu artykułów zebranych w niniejszym tomie (filolodzy, komparatyści, kulturoznawcy i filozofowie) zdają sprawę ze swej fascynacji dziełem Roberta Bolaño i proponują warte uwzględnienia konteksty jego lektury. Tytuł tomu nawiązuje do istotnej dla autora idei „nieznanego uniwersytetu” – wspólnego dla wszystkich, lecz często nie(roz)poznanego, uniwersytetu bezimiennego, nieposiadającego stałej siedziby i niewydającego dyplomów – który istnieje w edukacji każdego pisarza oraz każdego czytelnika. Bolaño patronuje na owym uniwersytecie jednej z ważniejszych katedr fakultetu współczesnych fikcji.The book titled Katedra Bolaño [Bolaño’s Chair] is a collection of selected articles and interpretive papers which can serve as a useful introduction for beginning readers of Roberto Bolaño and an enlightening outline for “older and intermediate” readers of works by this writer, who created one of the most distinctive literary projects of the last decades. This is the first book of this kind that has been written in Polish. The authors of the ten articles that constitute this volume (philologists, comparatists, cultural experts and philosophers) present certain contexts in which these works can be read that are worth considering. In each case – be it an attempt at capturing the “inner workings” of Bolaño’s works, the elaboration of the tangles of topics and relations that intertwine with one another in these works, analysis of literary connections and affinities, commentaries about commentaries, or a fragmentary poetical portrait – it is about expanding space for reflection as well as delineating boundaries and challenging these boundaries which are slowly being established.
