Abstract

In these remarks I attempt to present that radicalism was, and still is, an immanent part of not just various religions, but also that it had played and still plays an important role in grand historical narrations as well the lesser ones. I count into the first narrations recalling the books recognized as holy and seeking in them a justification for their general messages based on those books. I count into the others those who recall the religions of the holy books, but which books are being treated as just one of many historical sources on the knowledge in the topic of those religions. I include in the group of grand historical narrations among others the works of the Fathers of the Church. In the group of lesser narrations I include the works of such researchers of religion as Max Weber and Mircea EliadeEliade.
