Abstract

The author’s deliberations presented in the paper concern the question whether, de lege lata, by way of legal interpretation, it is possible to reconstruct from a Polish legal text on safety and health at work the comprehensive right of an employee to undertakings knowledge in that sphere place. It is then claimed that the said legal text doe not express such a legal modality being an individual right (and not a collective or public one) o f an employee. Having analysed the constitutional regulations, the treaty (conventional) provisions, and the provisions of the statutes and ordinances, the author concludes that this right may be derived from the constitutional regulation, by reference to the argument of compliance o f that provision with the contemporary legal culture ot the world in the area o f safety and health at work.
