Abstract

Aeschylus used the structure of the mime in the prologue of Agamemnon (v. 1–35) and the comic topoi such as the motive of drunken old women (Eumenides, v. 46 and n.), the scolds (ibidem, v. 206) etc. in order to decrease the dramatic tension.
