Abstract

Praca analizuje wyzwania współczesnych muzeów i rolę edukacji muzealnej w kształtowaniu relacji społecznych. Skupia się na polskich muzeach po 1989 roku, szczególnie na inkluzyjnych praktykach. Badania obejmują analizę literatury naukowej, dokumentów prawnych i programów muzealnych oraz badania terenowe. Autorka bada, jak muzea angażują różnorodne grupy społeczne w kreowanie muzeum jako "rzeźby społecznej". Praca składa się z ośmiu rozdziałów, obejmujących m.in. teorię muzeum, kontekst prawny, metody badań i analizę praktyk edukacyjnych. Zróżnicowane źródła informacji, takie jak archiwa muzealne, literatura naukowa i dokumenty prawne, są kluczowe dla jej kompleksowego podejścia. Praca koncentruje się na zrozumieniu ewolucji muzealnictwa i edukacji po 1989 roku, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem roli muzeum jako platformy budującej relacje społeczne i promującej uczestnictwo różnorodnych grup społecznych w życiu kulturalnym.

The dissertation analyzes the challenges contemporary museums face and the role of museum education in shaping social relations. It focuses on Polish museums after 1989, particularly their inclusive practices. The research includes a review of scholarly literature, legal documents, and museum programs, as well as field studies. The author examines how museums engage various social groups in creating the museum as a "social sculpture." The dissertation consists of eight chapters, covering museum theory, legal context, research methods, and analysis of educational practices. Crucial to its comprehensive approach are diverse sources of information, such as museum archives, scholarly literature, and legal documents. The thesis concentrates on understanding the evolution of museology and education after 1989, with particular emphasis on the role of the museum as a platform shaping social relations and promoting the participation of various social groups in cultural life.
