Niektóre aspekty integracji krajów słabo rozwiniętych

Abstract

The paper is concerned with chosen problems of regional integration in underdeveloped countries, especially in Latin American countries. Those countries were selected in order to make clear the theoretical formulation which has been motivated by a higher level of integration processes on the Latin American subcontinent than in other underdeveloped countries. The author expresses the opinion that integration is one of the most important factors which accelerate the economic development of the mentioned above countries. The opinion is based on the possibilities of mitigating the efects of existing growth-barriers, namely the insufficient accumulation, relatively limited internal market — by taking advantage of the regional division of labour. The aim of this paper is to define the program of integration, whose realization would permit to obtain a maximum advantage of international division of labour and thus to promote the economic development. This program should concentrate primarily on the production sphere, especially on a common program or at least the coordination of the development of specific production branches, on the national economies as a whole and finally on the trade pattern, which should be accordingly shaped.
