Abstract
Today students do not accept the teaching methods based on rigid standards, orders and prohibitions. On the other hand, the same students do not have confidence in a stress-free-education, as manifested by the absence of any supervision and requirements, which makes it impossible to acquire so-called good education. The new concepts of the school are the functions of the evolutionary
transition from a school that transfers knowledge into a school which is a place of exploring and processing information, a place of knowledge creation. Therefore, a methodology of knowledge management is indispensable. This paper describes the Japanese model of knowledge management;
Kolb’s four-step model; the TOCFE system (Theory of Constraints for Education), and the idea of Evidence-Based Teaching, relating to the proven methods used in the teaching process and taking into account the conclusions from so-called neurosciences. Information on knowledge management
must be necessarily taken into account in the process of teachers’ education.
