Abstract

Jednym z czynników, które przyspieszają i ułatwiają rozwój komunikacji w nauce jest budowanie, zgodnie z idea Open Access, repozytoriów. Artykuł przedstawia zasady oraz korzyści płynące z funkcjonowania repozytorium w procesie komunikacji naukowej. Zwraca uwag´ na aspekty prawa dotyczące udostępniania w repozytorium materia- łów objętych prawem autorskim. Dokonuje przeglądu rożnego rodzaju repozytoriów na świecie.One of the factors that speed up and facilitate the development of a wide range of communication – related issues in science and the humanities is the idea, in line with the Open Access philosophy, of building up repositories. The article presents rules and advantages resulting from repository-based scholarly communication and draws attention to legal issues concerning circulation of materials held at repositories that are protected by copyright. It gives an overview of different types of repositories.
