Abstract

The article shows that the realm of procreation is conditioned by a number of factors. Some of those affected the reproduction in the past centuries, others have their share nowadays. To find satisfaction in having delivered and brought up a child is no longer the highest-ranked value. As the results of the research show, it is more and more often the case that the decision to have children is being delayed or a choice is consciously made not to perform the role of a mother.
