Abstract
W artykule przedstawiono cele i zadania wypełniania misji bibliotek szkół wyższych –
wspierania nauki i edukacji oraz misji społecznej. Aktywności bibliotek w tym zakresie przeanalizowano
w świetle strategii działania bibliotek oraz trendów ich rozwoju. Zaprezentowano modele badania
funkcjonalności i wpływu bibliotek oraz przykładowe wskaźniki funkcjonalności dla polskich
bibliotek szkół wyższych z projektu Analiza funkcjonowania bibliotek naukowych (AFBN).
The article presents the goals and tasks to complete the mission of university libraries – supporting research and education as well as social mission. The libraries’ activity within this range has been analyzed in the light of the strategy of libraries’ and trends of their development. It also highlights the models of performance measurement and the libraries’ impact as well as the selected performance indicators for the Polish university libraries from the project “Performance Analysis for Polish Research Libraries” have been presented.
