Abstract

In the article an attempt is made to apply the taxonomic method of average differences to research into delimitation of employment regions with help of such characteristics as: — employment in socialized industry per 1000 inhabitants; — employment in socialized industry per 1 square kilometer; — percentage of urban population. Emphasizing the universality of the method numerous publications suggest that it can be used in almost all kinds of research into typology of spacial economic units. An analysis of employment in industry by regions made in this article proved the taxonomic method of average differences suitable for this kind of research.
