Abstract

The author presents the integration policy measures which have been applied till the present time in the European Economic Community. He divides them into two basic parts: 1) free competition policy, 2) intervention policy. Within each of the basic groups there is a further classification made from the point of view of the aims which are to be reached. The author comes to the conclusion that the theoretical inconsistency between the liberal and the intervention conceptions of integration is successfully overcome in the EEC activity. Such a result is due to the fact that 1) some elements of both conceptions are used in different sectors of the economy, 2) the intervention policy measures are applied to the Community as a whole, while the others — to the member states and enterprises.
