The massive development of tourism brought about the emergence of tourism demand which is a peculiar variant of consumption demand. The tourist demand has in essential the following particular features: seasonal character, a relatively smaller price elasticity, diversity, dynamics, some irrationality and substitutibility. The emergence of this kind of demand in the tourismoriented regions does exert a considerable influence on the way trade is organized and operates. The article analyzes how the changes the demand has been undergoing for some time call for trade operation to be reorganized in order to meet the growing socio-economic requirements of expanding tourism.
