Teofil Lenartowicz wobec kultury renesansu. Z dziejów recepcji dziedzictwa odrodzenia w twórczości polskich romantyków

Abstract

Praca poświęcona jest recepcji kultury renesansu w twórczości Teofila Lenartowicza i innych polskich romantyków, z którymi poeta przyjaźnił się lub utrzymywał korespondencje. Problem recypowania tradycji odrodzeniowej w twórczości Lenartowicza i polskich romantyków zaprezentowano poprzez nawiązanie do idei wielkich ludzi, popularnej zwłaszcza w XIX wieku. W centrum badawczego zainteresowania pozostają wybitne postaci renesansu włoskiego i polskiego. W oparciu o ich życiorysy i twórczość wyselekcjonowano oraz zaprezentowano określone problemy interpretacyjne. Dotyczą one między innymi problemu opisu i oceny sztuki włoskiego renesansu, osiągnięć naukowych w dobie odrodzenia, roli literatury w XVI wieku w Polsce, wizji historii nowożytnej w Europie. Poszczególne uwagi formułowane były poprzez odniesienia do różnorakiej spuścizny samego Lenartowicza, który był poetą, wykładowcą, rzeźbiarzem, autorem licznych rysunków i listów. W ten sposób zaprezentowana została interesująca poznawczo mozaika wybitnych postaci z XVI wieku, wśród których znaleźli się artyści, pisarze, filozofowie i naukowcy. Samego Lenartowicza uznać można za najbardziej zainteresowanego z polskich poetów romantycznych tradycją renesansową. Okazuje się także, że to właśnie jego pokolenie szczególnie chętnie nawiązywało do dorobku odrodzenia, tworząc w ten sposób swoją własną i unikatową estetykę. The aim of this dissertation is to show the reception of Renaissance culture in the works of Teofil Lenartowicz and other Polish romantics, whom the poet was a friend or correspondence with. The problem of the recieption of Renaissance traditions in the Lenartowicz's and other Polish romantic writers' works was presented by referring to the idea of the great people, particularly popular in the nineteenth century. Emphasis is placed on outstanding figures of the Italian and Polish Renaissance creators. Based on their biographies and works, specific interpretation problems were selected and presented. Interpretations explore the problem of describing and evaluating Italian Renaissance art, scientific achievements during the Renaissance, the role of literature in the 16th century in Poland, and the vision of a modern history in Europe. Specific remarks were formulated by the references to the various Lenartowicz's heritage, who was a poet, lecturer, sculptor, author of numerous drawings and letters. These findings presented a cognitively interesting patchwork of worthies from the 16th century, including artists, writers, philosophers and scientists. Lenartowicz can be considered the most interested in Renaissance tradition. It also turns out that his generation refer to the achievements of the Renaissance tradition willingly and created their own and unique aesthetics.
