„Podmiot” jako fenomen? O tym, co przychodzi po podmiocie w fenomenologii donacji J.-L. Mariona

Abstract

Przedmiotem tekstu jest wydobycie, werbalizacja i przedyskutowanie Marionowskiej koncepcji podmiotu, zawartej głównie w dziele Będąc danym. Nie jest to przedsięwzięcie bezpośrednio zamierzone przez autora – raczej pojawia się ono jako skutek dogłębnych przekształceń w ramach fenomenologii, a będących efektem odkrycia jej fundamentalnej zasady: „ile redukcji, tyle donacji”. W fenomenologii donacji aktywny jest fenomen, który ma charakter bardziej wydarzenia niż przedmiotu. Daje się on podmiotowi, a wraz z wieloma danymi obdarowuje go także nim samym. Podmiot przestaje być rozumiany jako konstytuujące Ja transcendentalne, a sam zaczyna się jawić jako ukonstytuowany, a przynajmniej otrzymany w wyniku donacji, przez co sam zaczyna przypominać fenomen. Fenomenologia donacji Mariona to radykalna krytyka silnej podmiotowości, wyrażonej głównie w koncepcji ego cogito lub Ja transcendentalnego, oraz opisanie nowej rzeczywistości, która przychodzi „po podmiocie”, a która przyjmuje postać atrybutariusza i obdarowanego (l’adonné).

The aim of this paper is to extract, articulate, and critically examine Jean-Luc Marion’s concept of the subject, as presented primarily in his seminal work Being Given. This endeavor is not explicitly undertaken by the author himself; rather, it emerges as a consequence of the profound transformations within phenomenology brought about by the discovery of its fundamental principle: “So Much Reduction, So Much Givenness.” In the phenomenology of givenness, the phenomenon is active – it manifests more as an event than as an object. It gives itself to the subject and, together with a multitude of data, grants the subject to itself. The subject ceases to be understood as a constituting transcendental ego and begins instead to appear as constituted – or at least as received – through givenness, thereby taking on the features of a phenomenon. Marion’s phenomenology of givenness thus constitutes a radical critique of strong subjectivity, especially as expressed in the concept of the ego cogito or transcendental I, and outlines a new reality that emerges “after the subject,” assuming the form of the receiver and the gifted (l’adonné).
